Support
There are a number of places you can get academic support as a student.
Your lecturer or tutor

Your first port of call if you find yourself in trouble would be your tutor or lecturer from one (or all) of your classes. You can send an email, organise a time to meet, or many of them have a designated time during the week where you can drop in and talk to them about what you’re struggling with.
Your lecturers and tutors want to help you and see you succeed, so make the most of them!
Your faculty
If you run into serious problems, you should visit the faculty office and speak to someone about what is happening. In some cases, they will assign you an academic adviser who you will meet with to discuss your progress, challenges, and give you advice about what you can do.
The faculty may also run a first-year mentoring program that you can join – ask them!
Counselling and Psychological Services
If you are having problems that are interfering with your studies, the Counselling and Psychological Services offers a free and confidential service to all students. It also offers year-round workshops specifically designed for first-year students.
