Mathematics Learning Centre
The Mathematics Learning Centre assists undergraduate students to develop the mathematical knowledge, skills and confidence that are needed for studying mathematics or statistics at university.
Can I Use The Mathematics Learning Centre?
The Mathematics Learning Centre is available to undergraduate students enrolled at the University of Sydney who need assistance with their first level units of mathematics or statistics because they do not have the mathematical background necessary for their studies. For example:
- People who have not studied the mathematics which is assumed knowledge for their university course.
- Mature age students who have not studied mathematics for several years.
- Students from overseas who may find gaps in their knowledge, or who are not familiar with mathematical terms in English.
- Students whose studies have been interrupted by either illness or accident or some other cause.
You don't have to be enrolled in a mathematics course to come to the Centre. Our staff and resources are available to assist those students who are preparing to study a first level undergraduate mathematics-based course in the future.
Use of the Centre is free to eligible students enrolled at the University of Sydney.
