The Sydney Summer School was established in 1997 to provide students with the opportunity to study award units of study on a non-compulsory basis.
The School currently offers two programs of study:
- Summer School in January and February; and
- Winter School in July.
As well, several programs for Higher School Certificate (HSC) Board of Studies endorsed courses are conducted at both Summer and Winter School.
With approval of the University's Academic Board, units may be developed specifically for The Sydney Summer School as foundation, introductory or preparatory units.
Enrolment is open to any tertiary student from anywhere in the world who meets the pre-requisites.
