If you have passed your Summer or Winter School unit(s) and believe you have now completed all the academic requirements for your award you should not assume that you can attend the next or any specific ceremony as you will need to be formally allocated to the correct ceremony by the Graduations Office.

As a consequence it may not always be possible to graduate with your peers who completed the same award at the end of the previous semester prior to the commencement of your Summer or Winter School study as this will depend on the timing of ceremonies and number of graduands allocated to that ceremony.

You should not make arrangements regarding your graduation until your allocation to a specific ceremony has been confirmed.

Once you have established that you have passed all your units you should contact your faculty's graduation coordinator who will confirm your academic status and advise the Graduations Office. Some faculties may also require students to submit a 'Graduation Notification' Form which is available from the relevant faculty office.

The Graduations Office will send you an official invitation package approximately three (3) weeks before the ceremony. This will be mailed to your correspondence address as last advised to the University. Please ensure that your address details are correct and updated by logging in to the MyUni web site which can be accessed via the University of Sydney home page under 'Current Students'. Alternatively, you can advise the Student Centre of the details of your new address in writing (Student Centre, Level 2, Jane Foss Russell Building, GO2, University of Sydney NSW 2006).
