The University of Sydney's academic excellence attracts students from around the world to take part in our intensive Summer School offered over three sessions from December to February, or in our Winter School in July.
If you’re already a student at Sydney, you can accelerate your course, catch up on a failed Unit of Study, balance your timetable, or study subjects outside your current course.
If you’re joining us at Sydney for the first time, you can study as a non-award student and get a taste of our diverse academic offerings, and even get a head start on your degree if you’ve just completed Year 12.
Or you can pick up a subject as a cross-institutional student if you’re enrolled in a course at another university and want to count a completed Unit of Study at Sydney toward your degree.
Units of Study are offered in one or more sessions during Summer School. Exams may occur after the teaching finishes.
|Session||Session name||Teaching start date||Census date|
|S1NSEA||Summer Early||1 December 2014||5 January 2015|
|S1NSMA||Summer Main||7 January 2015||19 January 2015|
|S1SLA||Summer Late||12 January 2015||22 January 2015|
Most Units of Study in Summer School cater for a maximum number of enrolments. This means that classes fill on a first come, first served basis. If you withdraw from a Unit of Study, your place will be made available for another student.
FULL FEE PAYING
All Units of Study are full fee-paying, so please make your Unit of study selection on the understanding that HECS-HELP is not available for domestic students in Summer School.
Summer School enrolments are designated full fee-paying and are not covered by HECS-HELP, however FEE-HELP is available to eligible domestic students. The University of Sydney also charges a Student Services and Amenities Fee at a part-time rate for enrolments in Summer School.
