The 1850 society
What our members say
The starting point for our donations to the University of Sydney has been to ask the Development Office or Faculty Dean "if you had $25,000 what would you do with it?"
Our philosophy is that the University knows the needs better than we do. We value receiving updates on how our support has helped launch a number of meaningful programs that otherwise may not have proceeded. As members of the 1850 Society we feel a personal stake in the University’s success and hope we can encourage more alumni and friends to become regular supporters.

"The University of Sydney is an inspiring place to be involved with. In particular, I have had a long and proud association through the Sydney University Football Club. Building a community of dedicated supporters is essential to the University’s future success and to maintain the excellence of the University’s academic programs, research and quality of student life."
