Hong Kong Foundation

Incorporated in 2010 the University of Sydney Hong Kong Foundation Limited seeks to promote and advance education in Hong Kong and China through the provision of facilities and opportunities for learning, teaching and research at the University of Sydney. The Foundation aims to strengthen ties between alumni and friends of the University residing in Hong Kong and China, and provides a tax efficient way of giving.

In Hong Kong, a donation to the University of Sydney Hong Kong Foundation Limited is exempt from tax under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance of Hong Kong. To date the Foundation has raised over AUS$200,000 for initiatives which have greatly benefited the community, providing significant assistance in areas including chair appointments, scholarships, lectures and numerous research and faculty projects.
