Telephone Program

students in the call room

The University of Sydney runs an annual telephone program where our enthusiastic students reach out to alumni and friends to connect over their shared experiences, and highlight areas that need support through an ongoing or one-off gift.

We are currently recruiting for student callers: undergraduates and postgraduates from all faculties. You will talk to alumni about upcoming events and help them revitalise their affinity with the University. Alumni will also have the opportunity to make a gift towards their preferred faculty, scholarships, the Student Support Fund or research initiatives.

For more information about our telephone programs, please contact the Sydney Development Fund on +61 2 8627 8818.

The Sydney Development Fund would like to thank all alumni and friends who have shown their support during this, or previous telephone programs. Your gifts are very much appreciated and have a far reaching impact.

Our alumni say…

"I cannot begin to tell you how lovely the young girl was who made contact with me and talked about our university, what I had done since graduating in 1960, the online mentoring program and annual donation. She was charming, a great communicator and listener, thoughtful and enthusiastic and a total pleasure to talk to. Young people like this give me great faith in the future! My sincere good wishes."

Our callers say…

"The person I spoke with was absolutely delightful, one of the most inspiring and kind women I have ever spoken to! She was so keen to get involved with the Uni through mentoring as well as donating. Her son attended USyd on an alumni scholarship! She and I chatted about her travels, her music, her career and her family. She really is a lovely person."
