Each year, we will call for nominations for the Sydney Southeast Asia Centre’s Alumnus/Alumnae of the Year Award. Our winner will be a University of Sydney graduate who best demonstrates a commitment to furthering understanding of Southeast Asia and shows a deep engagement with the region.
The nominee could be from all walks of professional life – business, government, not-for-profit, or the private sector. They could be a Southeast Asian national, a professional engaged in projects in Southeast Asia, or someone who is simply passionate about the region and demonstrates this through their volunteer work.
The winner will receive a return flight to Sydney from their nearest regional capital. If the winner is based in Australia, they will receive a return flight of their choice to a Southeast Asian capital city.
Applications for Alumni of the Year 2017 will open shortly. Watch this space for further updates.
