Policies under consultation
As part of the HR policy consultation process, the University invites all staff to provide comment and feedback on draft policies and procedures.
The process of reviewing or developing draft policy undergoes several stages before it is at the point where we can invite staff feedback – this includes background research, extensive consultation with key stakeholders, benchmarking with other Universities and review by the Office of General Counsel. Once a policy reaches the final draft stage, we place a notice in the Staff News inviting staff to provide feedback on the draft policy.
In some cases, where policy reviews are based purely on legislative changes, we may not invite feedback from staff as these amendments are obligatory, however we always inform staff when a policy has been reviewed.
Please note that draft policies should not be considered as approved University policies or relied upon in any way.
