Where do I find the link to CareerPath?
You can log in to CareerPath from a number of web pages including the STAFF & CAREERS page (CareerPath is listed under Logins on the right hand side). You can also log in via myHRonline – select the My Development tab and click on CareerPath on the blue line.
Do I need a password?
Use your Unikey and password to log in to CareerPath.
I’ve tried logging in with my Unikey and password, but it doesn’t work.

I can’t find the course I want.
At present, you can use CareerPath to search for and enrol in courses offered by the following departments: Learning Solutions, Finance, ICT Training and Occupational Health & Safety. Read the Quick Reference Guide for tips on browsing for courses. Check the Training & Development page for information on other staff training and development opportunities at the University.
I want to enrol in a course but none of the dates listed suit me. Can I ask to be notified of new dates?
Yes, there are a number of options in addition to submitting a request to enrol in a course. For example, you can select the link “Notify me when sessions are scheduled”.
The course I want to enrol in is full. Can I go on a waitlist?
Yes, there are a number of options in addition to submitting a request to enrol in a course. For example, if the course is full you can ask to be added to the waitlist.
Can I enrol in any course I see listed in CareerPath?
The departments running the courses set prerequisites for some of their courses. Prerequisites are listed in the course information. The system will prompt you to submit an Exception Request if there are prerequisites. The department that is running the course will respond to your request.
What is a Training Record (or Transcript)?
The Transcript is a record of all training you have enrolled in via CareerPath. It also captures the status of your requests, e.g. Registered, Exception Request. You can make some changes to your training activities from this view, as listed under the Options column (e.g. you can withdraw from a course or select a session).
What is the difference between the Active and Archived Transcript?
The default view of your Transcript shows your active course records, i.e. training that is in progress. Once you have completed a course, you can archive the training record associated with that course.
How do I move a course record to my Archived Transcript?
Click on the name of the course in your Transcript to display the details of that course and click on Move to Archived Transcript on the right of the screen above the "Training Details" header bar.
I have enrolled in a course via CareerPath and now I need to withdraw. How do I do this?
To withdraw select the Training Record menu item from the Learn tab, find the course on your Transcript and click on Withdraw under the Options column. Your withdrawal will be confirmed by email. You can select another date for the course by clicking on Select a session in the Options column.
I enrolled in a course in CareerPath and then changed to another session date. Will my calendar be automatically updated?
No. You can save course registrations to your Microsoft Outlook Calendar when you receive the course enrolment confirmation email. However, you will need to delete the calendar entry if you subsequently withdraw from the course.
I submitted a request to enrol in a course by mistake and now I can’t delete it from my Transcript.
You need to withdraw from the course so that the department offering the training is aware that you no longer wish to attend. To withdraw select the Training Record menu item from the Learn tab, find the course on your Active Transcript and click on Withdraw under the Options column. Your withdrawal will be confirmed by email. You can select another date for the course by clicking on Select a session in the Options column.
The Status for that course on your Transcript will change to Withdrawn. You have the option of moving that record to the Archived Transcript.
I submitted a request to enrol in a course but it doesn’t appear in my Transcript.
Check your Archived Transcript. Try submitting your request again. See the Quick Reference Guide for instructions. Or email the for assistance.
What does the “Evaluate” option on my Transcript mean?
The Evaluate option allows you to complete a feedback form on the course you have completed if the department providing the training has made one available.
Are casuals able to enrol in CareerPath courses?
All staff members with a Unikey are able to log in to CareerPath and submit a request to enrol in courses listed in the course catalogues. Requests are processed by the departments that run the courses. Prerequisites are listed in the course descriptions and the system will prompt you to apply for an Exception Request. Talk to your manager about which training you are eligible to attend.
Can I enrol in any course listed in CareerPath?
All staff members with a Unikey are able to log in to CareerPath and submit a request to enrol in courses listed in the course catalogues. Prerequisites are listed in the course descriptions and the system will prompt you to apply for an Exception Request. Talk to your manager about which training you are eligible to attend.
Will my manager be required to approve my request to enrol in a course?
You should discuss and agree on your training and development activities with your manager, prior to enrolling via CareerPath. The system will not notify or seek approval for course enrolments from your manager.
Can I record other courses I complete in CareerPath?
Soon, you will be able to record all types of training and development activities in CareerPath. You will also be able to link your Development Plan with your Transcript.
