Remuneration Components
Your total remuneration package is made up of your base salary, your superannuation and other cash elements, if applicable e.g. annual leave loading or allowances.
The University's remuneration packages reflect internal relativity which aligns roles performing the same type of work across the university and external relativity which is monitored through a number of salary surveys (industry specific and general).
Within the University, your remuneration package depends upon:
- your employment status e.g. academic, general
- whether you are covered by the Enterprise Agreement or have an AWA
- whether you are full or part-time (your hourly rate will be consistent but the total amount will vary)
- how your position is remunerated within the market place
- your performance.
It is important, if you are comparing your remuneration to the external marketplace, that you take your full package into account rather than just your base salary.
For information on rates of pay see the Remuneration and Benefits section of the HR Policies Index.
