Mr Michael Dunkel

Mr Dunkel is a Sydney solicitor. He holds a law degree from Sydney University and is managing partner in a law firm that he founded. He is one of the two Trustees designated to represent the Hebrew University.
Mr Dunkel has had a long association with the Hebrew University and has been president of the New South Wales Friends of the Hebrew University since 1998. He is a member of the Hebrew University's Board of Governors. He is also a governor of the Orion Foundation, which he helped establish in 1986 to fund various causes and projects including the Orion Center for the Study of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
In 2005, Mr Dunkel became an Honorary Fellow of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and in 2007 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the same university in recognition of his services over many years.
Mr Dunkel is also a director of the Education Heritage Foundation.
