2015 Fund Prize

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Nominations are now sought for the award of the Sir Zelman Cowen Universities Fund Prize for 2015.

The Prize, which recognizes discovery in medical research, is awarded in alternate years at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and at the University of Sydney. For the 2015 Prize, nominations are invited from scientists working at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Nominations should be made according to the guidelines set out below and sent by email to the submission address specified by Friday, 27 June 2014.

Guidelines:
  • The Prize, which will comprise an award of AUS$10,000 and a medal, will be for discovery in medical research performed principally at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
  • Nominees should have made a major contribution to the understanding or treatment of disease.
  • The nomination should identify the potential or achievement of the discovery for therapeutic outcomes.
  • Nominees should be under 45 years of age at 31 December 2014.
  • It is anticipated that the award will be announced in March/April 2015.
  • The prize will be awarded in a ceremony at the Hebrew University's Board of Governors' Meeting in June, 2015, in Jerusalem.
  • Nominations should be completed in English following these guidelines and a pro forma available from the Fund's Office.
