Sydney, Australia’s global city and its financial, media and IT capital, is the “natural location” for the United States Studies Centre, in the words of New South Wales Premier Morris Iemma. The city is home to two thirds of all multinational corporations with bases in Australia. Set on the world’s most beautiful harbour with a vibrant population of 4.4 million people, Sydney is Australia’s international gateway.

The University of Sydney is comprised of nine campuses, the main one being the Camperdown / Darlington campus five kilometres from the CBD. It features landscaped grounds, sports ovals and centres, museums, galleries, two major complexes devoted to student recreation and services, the sandstone Quadrangle and many other beautiful modern and historic buildings.
