2020 Summit
Associate Professor Lyn Carson, Academic Program Director with the United States Studies Centre, participated in the recent 2020 Summit that looked at long-term options for Australia. The Summit, chaired by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, brought together 1000 leading Australians to the national Parliament across 10 critical areas. Associate Professor Carson participated in discussions on governance.
Dr Carson's reflections on a new kind of government
Associate Professor Carson has been researching and teaching in the field of deliberative democracy for the past 15 years and is currently completing a collaborative ARC-funded project convening Australia’s first Citizens’ Parliament.
