Events

The University of Sydney Faculty of Veterinary Science is a vibrant and innovative Faculty with strong links to the community through its small and large animal clinics and teaching hospitals.

Through the staging of special events that bring together the community and our students and staff, the Veterinary Science Foundation helps to promote our veterinary centres, educate the public about veterinary science and animal welfare, and raise funds for major projects.

Become part of the celebrations as the Faculty of Veterinary Science, University of Sydney reaches 100 years of age

In 2010, the Faculty of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney will celebrate 100 years of continuous veterinary teaching and research. This milestone has been reached through the extraordinary sustained efforts of alumni, staff, veterinary organisations and the Australian community. The opportunity now arises for the Faculty to show its gratitude by organising a series of celebratory events and activities* during 2010 which will allow all to participate and enjoy the occasion.

We ask all alumni and friends to support us during the 2010 Celebrations by joining in the events. The Veterinary Science Foundation (VSF), headed by its Director Carrie Elton, is providing much of the impetus for the 2010 Celebrations. If you are interested in contributing to, or attending, any event mentioned in the calendar* please don’t hesitate to contact through the VSF Office on 02 9351 8026 or via email

There will be regular updates and news available in our One Hundred Years e-newsletter, so make sure we have your email details by emailing
