Current Research Interests

Broad interests in the epidemiology and pathogenesis of zoonotic, emerging and tropical infectious
diseases of public health importance, with particular interests in:

  • Epidemiology of food and water-borne infectious diseases.
  • Capacity building to support One Health approaches to emerging infectious diseases.
  • Integrated approaches to disease surveillance and control.
  • Use of novel data sources to augment and evaluate public health surveillance systems.
  • Application of advanced statistical procedures to describe the spatiotemporal distribution of zoonotic and vector-borne infections.
