Animal Science (Animal Breeding Management) Program Outline

The ABMgt program offers three nested award courses at Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Masters levels, specifically designed to equip animal health professionals with animal genetics, breeding and management expertise relevant to and applicable in animal industries. The program will provide a combination of advanced training in animal genetics and breeding program design with core units of study in leadership and management.

The ABMgt program is delivered primarily through distance education, which allows flexible integration of your studies with your professional and personal lives. The majority of units of study are delivered via a web based classroom, which includes regular interaction with academic experts and fellow students. Students also attend two or three short residential intensive blocks on-campus over the duration of the program.

* Note:

You can choose to do Project Management (6cp)
OR
Leadership: Managing Change (3cp) and Leadership Skills (3cp) as core units of study for the Graduate Certificate.

If you progress to the Graduate Diploma or Masters, Project Management would be designated as an elective and you would still need to complete Leadership: Managing Change and Leadership Skills as core units.
