Veterinary Science Conference Centre
The Veterinary Science Conference Centre (VSCC) is a triple-storey building that contains the Webster Lecture Theatre, where all of our paper presentations will take place; Palfrey Room, where you will be able to register and submit your powerpoint presentations throughout the week; as well as a number of meeting rooms, which can be booked by sponsor companies for breakfast presentations or lunch time meetings.
As mentioned above, the Post Graduate BBQ will be held just outside the building on the Round House Lawns (pictured below) on Monday evening.
Located on the ground floor of the hotel the Bligh Room at Rydges is the perfect space to host the opening evening of the APSS Conference. It boasts reverse cycle air conditioning and built in projection screens. It is fitted with a digital signage board to address the conference name and event details. However, most importantly it is conveniently located to all Hotel facilities, making this venue the most popular choice of accommodation for delegates attending the symposium. Discounted rates are available with our special "Corporate ID" available on our Accommodation Page.
Registrations and presentations will take place inside the Bligh Room, however this year we will break out into the restaurant area for drinks and canapes. There will also be access to the outside pool deck if weather permits.
The Symposium Dinner is always a fabulous event and 2015 will be no exception. With world-class harbour-side views and the glittering city skyline, our event at the Australian National Maritime Museum will be a night to remember. This venue offers a unique destination for culture and heritage, with dinner overlooking the museum's historic vessel collection.
Cocktail hour will see us enjoying drinks and canapes on the decks of the ex-Naval destroyer, HMAS Vampire, moored at Darling Harbour. There will be amazing photo opportunities from this unique and unforgettable vantage point, with some light jazzy tunes filling the air. We will then move off the ship and into the YOTS Waterside Room for an alfresco harbourside dining experience.
