This tutorial was designed to give you basic information about database design and operation.
Note that I have only discussed the mechanics of building a database, but not the theory to help you make decisions about which variables should be included in a table. I would suggest you to read some tutorials or chapters on normalizing tables to obtain further information about making such decisions.
Secondly, I did not go into details of object properties and other advanced issues but you might want to refer to other resources listed below once you are comfortable in designing simple databases. In my experience, the best way to gain advanced skills is to work on your own database and seek Access help or read other Microsoft tutorials, whenever necessary. If you need to create/use databases regularly, it is also helpful to read a book or two on Microsoft Access.
