Elective Pathways for the BVetBiol/DVM

The AVBS Progression Strategy and Elective Pathway

If you nominate the Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience (AVBS) as your progression strategy, you should enrol in the following electives in year 1 and 2, in addition to the core units:

The BSc Progression Strategy and Elective Pathway

If you nominate the Bachelor of Science (BSc) as your progression strategy, you should select one elective per semester from the following list, in addition to the core units. Students in the BSc electives pathway should be aware that the first year core biology and chemistry units provide the basis for several science majors in third year.

PHYS1004 Physics 1 (Environmental & Life Sciences) OR

Any two (2) of the following (3cp each):

MATH1004 Discrete Mathematics

MATH1014 Introduction to Linear Algebra

MATH1013 Mathematical Modelling

 

 

 

*MBLG1001 is strongly recommended for those wishing to pursue a life-science major such as biology or chemistry
