The 2010 Ian Beveridge Memorial Lecture:

One Health - Turning Theory into Practice.

The Ian Beveridge Memorial Lectures, which reflect the Beveridge principle of One Medicine, were founded by a bequest from Ian Beveridge. We are delighted that the 2010 Ian Beveridge Memorial Lecture One Health - Turning Theory into Practice will be presented by Emeritus Professor John Edwards.

Professor Edwards is well known in national and international circles and is actively involved in research on new and emerging diseases in Southeast Asia.

With more than 60% of all new human disease emerging from animals and particular risks in our region due to intensification of agriculture and loss of wildlife habitats, this talk will provide important insights into future directions for surveillance and disease control.
