Globalisation of agriculture, the rapid development of new biotechnologies and scientific knowledge as well as the economic impact of diseases such as bovine spongiform encephalopathy and foot-and-mouth disease have led to a need for veterinarians and animal scientists with advanced skills that can be applied in a rapidly changing world.

Postgraduate coursework offers professional development, opportunities for career changes and is linked to career development and progression.

We welcome all inquiries to our postgraduate programs, for many of our programs we will consider students with a good (Honours) science, agricultural or other undergraduate degree, that is, in many cases you do not need to be a veterinary science graduate but please check this when making your inquiries, as some programs require registration with the NSW Veterinary Surgeons Board.

We welcome eligible international students; we have many international students undertaking postgraduate programs at present.
