- Studying: Vet Science
After completing her first degree in Biomedical Sciences in the United Kingdom, Annabelle Sketchley wanted to combine her keen interest in science with her passion for animal welfare to pursue a career in veterinary science.
“My love for all animals and passion for their welfare have played an important role in my life for as long as I can remember. I have always been drawn to science as I find it fascinating learning about the world around us, so by combining the two, I can hopefully make a difference to the lives of many animals,” said Annabelle.
“I chose to study in the Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney as it has such an outstanding reputation for teaching – my lecturers are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. The teaching hospitals and learning environments at the University are world class and there are so many opportunities to learn from and work with the very best,” said Annabelle.
"The course provides excellent learning opportunities through its external and clinical placements, allowing you to apply the theoretical knowledge you get in class to a professional setting by getting real hands-on experience. This means you get to work with and learn from many different people from all across Australia. There is even the opportunity to undertake some placements overseas."
