Presenting Signs
    Cats with this condition have an inherited disorder of the vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors required to help blood clot. Affected cats have a tendency to bleed for prolonged times after minor trauma or procedures such as blood collection. Clinical signs include bruising, lethargy, weakness, pale gums, blood in the urine or sudden death. if bleeding occurs into the chest cavity, the cat may have trouble breathing.

Treatment
    Medical: blood transfusion may be required. Long term therapy with vitamin K is necessary.
