Presenting Signs
Curl cats have ears that naturally curve backwards at the tips, towards the head. The cats’ ears appear normal from birth until 12-16 weeks of age, when the tips of the ears begin to curl backwards gradually. While individuals may display a varying degree of curl in their ears, the full degree of curl is reached by 16 weeks of age and is permanent.

Cats at Risk
Offspring of Curl cats. The curled ear shape is inherited as a monogenic autosomal dominant trait.
