Presenting Signs
This disorder ranges from slight duplication of the structures at the front of the face at birth, to almost two complete heads (dicephalia). The top jaw and nose are the only facial features duplicated in mildly affected animals, though the entire face and frontal part of the skull may be duplicated. Most often the ears are not duplicated, and duplication of the eyes is incomplete. The brain can be duplicated to the point of the brain stem, that is, the top of the spinal cord.
