Presenting Signs

Renal hypoplasia is a condition where the kidneys do not form properly. Symptoms depend on how severe the abnormality is, and whether it is in one or both kidneys. The cat may be born dead or die from kidney failure within several days of birth. Cats with both kidneys affected become sick at an earlier age.
