VSAHPP - Veterinary Student Animal Husbandry Placement Program
Students between 2nd and 4th year of the Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree, undertake placements at sites where they gain experience in animal husbandry and gain further skills in animal handling.
Students are required to undertake placements on farms to gain experience with beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry and horses. Students may also undertake elective placements where they can gain experience and skills in animal husbandry and handling of wildlife, and other species of animals not mentioned above. Students also have the opportunity to undertake industry placements as part of their electives.
