Qualifications
Graduated in veterinary sciences from the University of Cambridge in 1989.
Masters in veterinary epidemiology at Reading University.
PhD in the epidemiology of bovine mastitis.
Professional Experience
Edmund, an epidemiologist at the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science, is responsible for advice the UK government on fish health policy, import risk analysis for exotic fish pathogens and the development of contingency plans for aquatic animal diseases. Edmund has worked in large animal practice and for 4 years was part of a British government funded animal project in Kenya.
Research
Edmund is interested in developing the role of epidemiology and risk analysis in the study of fish disease in the UK.
