Professional Experience

John Morton delivers epidemiological consulting services from his base in Geelong, Victoria. He is passionate about achieving high quality epidemiological teaching and research.

He is also the Head Examiner for Membership in Veterinary Epidemiology in the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists and a member of the Epidemiology Chapter Examinations Committee.

Teaching Expertise

He held the position of Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Epidemiology and Biometry at the University of Queensland from 2004 to 2009. During that time, he developed innovative teaching approaches designed to help undergraduate veterinary students build epidemiological concepts into their clinical thinking skills, and received several teaching awards. He is currently teaching the Data Analysis for Policy Making unit in the Veterinary Public Health Management Program.
