Canine lymphosarcoma

Polly Yau

Canine lymphosarcoma is a common malignant neoplasm of haemopoietic origin. While the genetic basis for breed-specific risk factors associated with lymphosarcoma is not currently known, multiple surveys have identified breeds with increased likelihood of succumbing to this neoplastic condition. The aim of this study is to determine whether there are significant differences in lymphosarcoma incidence between dog breeds in Sydney, and to compare breed relative risk to published findings from other countries.
