On behalf of the steering committee, it is my pleasure to welcome you to GEOVET 2010.
GEOVET 2010 will be the premier scientific event this year for those with an interest in spatial disease patterns, risk factors and control method.

GEOVET 2010 will provide an international forum for researchers, policy-makers and agencies that use spatial epidemiological methods to present, review and discuss methods and applications. The scope of GEOVET 2010 includes data management systems, surveillance, statistical and modelling approaches, the application of geographic information systems, and remote sensing applications in veterinary science, veterinary public health and zoonotic disease research and control activities. The scope includes domestic animal, wildlife and human populations.

This conference mirrors the successful GEOMED conferences, and continues in the tradition of the previous GISVET conferences.
