TRAVEL
Airlines
Sydney Airport serves as an international gateway for Australia, and is a major domestic airline hub. Both the International Terminal and the two Domestic Terminals are located in the suburb of Mascot, about 8 km south of the CBD and 6km southeast of the University campus.
Many airlines service the international airport, including Qantas, Singapore Airlines, Cathy Pacific, British Airlines, United, Delta, and Emirates. The largest number of flights from Europe, North America and Asia are offered by Qantas.
Note: Airline tickets can become expensive due to a lack of competition on some routes. It is advisable to book early. Prices almost inevitably rise for travel from the second week of December through to the second week of January.
The major domestic airlines serving Sydney are Qantas and Virgin Blue.
From the Airport
A convenient means of transport to the CBD is train. There are stops at both the International and Domestic Airports - just follow the signs; the stations are located underneath the terminals. A ticket to Central Station is about $15.
The closest station to the University's Camperdown campus is Redfern Station (City Rail for more information). Newtown Station is close to accommodation options on Missenden Road.
Buses and taxis are another option for travelling from the airport.
The conference will be held at the Veterinary Science Conference Centre (Building B22 Regimental Crescent, Camperdown)
