The image-based quiz is an ideal tool for enhancing teaching in any subject that uses visual material as a learning tool (eg Anatomy, Histology, Pathology, Parasitology, Microbiology). The model allows you to upload an image either from your own album or from an image database (e.g. OLIVER, the Veterinary image library) and then tag the image with up to five labels that you can position to indicate relevant structures.
The right hand side of the page has a question generator that allows you to create multiple choice questions with any number of distracters. The learner is then able to zoom in on the image to optimise the view, then answer the questions by pulling down the answer menu and selecting the appropriate answer. After completing the questions, the student is able to check their answers immediately.
The image below shows an image quiz page. The learner has selected the answers and has used the 'show answer' button to check their response.
