Welcome to SOLE

The Sydney Orientation and Leadership Experience (SOLE) is an interactive orientation and leadership programme for members of the Faculty of Veterinary Science. It is a chance to meet new friends and develop leadership skills in a relaxed learning environment before classes start for the year.

Incoming students participate in orientation and leadership activities led by senior students and staff members. Participants learn about Faculty and University support services through short presentations made in between small and large group activities. Staff and senior students are available throughout the programme to answer questions about the curriculum.

What is the best thing about SOLE?

• Meeting people in my course before the first lectures,
  getting to know them and making friends.
• Being placed into small groups and developing friendships
  with the people doing our course.
• The interaction between students and lecturers.
