Dr Dart graduated from the University of Zurich before completing an internship and residency in Veterinary Anaesthesia at the University of Guelph, Canada. With her specialist examinations completed Christina moved to California where for 5 years she was lecturer in Veterinary Anaesthesia at the University of California, Davis.
Since arriving in Australia Christina has been working for Sydney University establishing the first dedicated anaesthesia service at Camden campus. In addition to providing anaesthesia and intensive care to the patients of the large and small animal hospitals Christina is committed to the teaching of under and post-graduate students as well as research in clinical anaesthesia.
Dr Eduardo Uquillas
Resident in Veterinary Anaesthesia
Eduardo graduated from Universidad Mayor in Chile, and following graduation began practice in small animal medicine. After completing a postgraduate course in analgesia and anaesthesia in small animals Eduardo then worked as an anaesthetist in a Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Chile for 2 years before deciding to embark on specialistation. After visiting the UVTHC in 2009, he successfully applied for a residency in veterinary anaesthesia, with the view of obtaining American specialist board certification. He began this residency at the UVTHC in February 2010.
Alison started work at the UVTHC in 2003 as a dermatology nurse later moving to the anaesthesia department.
Alison is the co-ordinator of the UVTHC Canine Blood bank.
She has obtained a Certificate III in Equine Nursing, a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing - Emergency and Critical Care. She is an accredited Veterinary Nurse with the Australian Veterinary Association and is currently completing her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing – Surgery.
In her spare time Alison looks after her 14 horses and 9 Shetland Sheepdogs.
Rhiannon started at UVTH Camden as an anaesthesia nurse in 2008. Previously she has nursed in a mixed practice in Newcastle and a specialist hospital in Sydney. Rhiannon has her certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and is a registered nurse of the VNCA. Rhiannon came 1st in the class at TAFE.
