Keith Merchant - Business Manager, Veterinary Clinical Services
Looking after teaching hospitals is something in which Keith has plenty of experience, having been the General Manager at the Westmead Dental Hospital for over 4 years. Here he introduced a range of state-wide clinical services and teaching programs including the Bachelor of Oral Health working closely with the University of Sydney’s Faculty of Dentistry.
Prior to this Keith held senior management roles at Westmead Adult Hospital, and at Blacktown District Hospital. More lately he has been involved in aged care where he has led resident service changes working with The Salvation Army and at Uniting Care Ageing, the largest aged care provider in NSW.
Keith will spend dedicated time at both Camperdown and Camden campuses. The Faculty’s teaching, research and service delivery endeavours all rely on the ongoing strength of the teaching hospitals. Keith’s efforts, working as part of the Faculty Executive will therefore be integral to us achieving our strategic plan of “sustainable excellence”.
