Music & drama

The Seymour Theatre Centre presents a range of innovative musical and dramatic arts. The Centre has been a hub for the cultivation, education and performance of drama and music since 1975. Their program includes dramatic and musical productions, public lectures including the Sydney Ideas series and the Sound Lounge live music venue.

If music is your passion, the University’s Conservatorium of Music holds regular public performances and concerts ranging from chamber music to jazz. Visit their events page to see upcoming performances and to find information on tickets and transport.

Visit the University of Sydney Union’s events website to find out what’s happening at Hermann’s Bar and Manning Bar. These venues provide entertainment aimed at the University’s students, but the public are welcome to attend events.

The University Museums team also manages the public recitals of the Great Hall Organ and the Carillon that are regularly held in the romantic atmosphere of the University’s historic quadrangle.
