Volunteers

As a volunteer you are integral member of a team that supports young people underrepresented in higher education, providing them opportunities to enhance their learning and build academic capacity to access university.

As a volunteer you will to provided foundations for leadership and opportunities to engage with diverse communities, while developing your graduate qualities by:

  • broadening critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills
  • developing your cultural competencies while working collaboratively with diverse groups and settings
  • building confidence, personal resilience and capacity to manage challenges
  • putting your studies into practice
  • making a positive contribution to society

Volunteer applications will open 31 January 2019.

If you are student of the University of Sydney you are welcome to apply.

Shortlisted applicants are invited to attend a brief interview with Widening Participation and Outreach staff. If you accept the offer of a position, you will be you will be required to attend a volunteer induction session and program-specific training.
