Dr Soojeong Yoo

Dr Soojeong Yoo is a Lecturer in Design at The University of Sydney’s School of Architecture, Design and Planning. She holds a PhD specialising in Human-Computer Interaction from the School of Computer Science at the University of Sydney, focusing on how physical activity can be captured during gameplay and how long-term user models can be created for individual players. She also holds a B.Com (Hons) from the Human Interface Technology Laboratory (HIT Lab) Australia at the University of Tasmania.

Her research focuses on human factors in healthcare, aiming to design effective immersive interactive health technologies (VR/AR/MR) for work and hospital settings, and to promote wellbeing through technology integrated into everyday life.

Prior to her current position, Soojeong was a Research Fellow in Human Factors and Innovative Technologies for Surgical Interventions at the University College London Interaction Centre (UCLIC) and Wellcome/EPSRC Centre for Interventional & Surgical Sciences (WEISS) at University College London (UCL).
