The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences has launched four new bachelor’s degrees and three combined degrees which aim to deliver student focused education that is transformational and builds on the feedback from students and industry partners.
The undergraduate degrees are open via the Universities Admissions Centre for students* to apply to commence their studies in Semester 1, 2025, and will be opening for direct applications via the University’s website by June 2024.

We are excited to be expanding on our comprehensive range of subjects with seven new degrees providing students with unique study options to meet their academic and career needs in the disciplines within arts and social sciences.
The combined Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts provides the opportunity for you to combine professional commerce-related studies in the arts, social science and humanities. Following completion of the combined degree requirements, you will graduate with two bachelor’s degrees, represented on two separate degree certificates.
The combined Bachelor of Economics and Bachelor of Arts provides you with the freedom to select subject areas from the disciplines of economics and arts. From studies in economic theories, societal trends, or global issues this degree will sharpen your analytical prowess while developing skills in critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving. Following completion of the combined degree requirements, you will graduate with two bachelor’s degrees, represented on two separate degree certificates.
The Bachelor of International Studies will accelerate your career internationally, providing you with the interdisciplinary expertise required to understand and overcome global challenges while embracing global politics, history, culture and language. This degree brings together the theory of international politics with contextual approaches of history, area studies and language.
The Bachelor of Languages will provide you with high-level intercultural competency and communication skills in the language of your choice. You will graduate with a toolkit of advanced skills including analysing cross-lingual and cross-cultural issues.
The Bachelor of Media and Communications will provide you with the skills to forge a career in today’s dynamic media landscape. From theoretical studies to studio-based and work-integrated learning this degree prepares you for a wide range of exciting career opportunities in the discipline of media and communications.
The Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy, and Economics will provide you with an interdisciplinary perspective required to delve into the complexities of global issues and challenges. Unlock your potential to create impact in the realm of international relations with a globally recognised degree and intellectual expertise.
The combined Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts allows you to explore your key area of interest in from the diverse offering of majors and programs available in the Bachelor of Science. Combining with the study areas from the arts discipline to meet the challenges of the modern workforce. Following completion of the combined degree requirements, you will graduate with two bachelor’s degrees, represented on two separate degree certificates.
