Biographical details

Sarah Cameron is the Electoral Integrity Project Manager and Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Government and International Relations at the University of Sydney. She joined the Department in 2017 from the Australian National University where she received her PhD in Political Science. Her research interests include elections, comparative political behaviour and Australian politics.

Sarah has contributed to a range of projects on elections and democracy including the Australian Election Study and the Comparative Cross-National Electoral Research project. Her dissertation research examined the political consequences of the global financial crisis in cross-national comparison. She held a Visiting Fellowship in the Department of Government at Harvard University from 2015 to 2016.

Previously, Sarah worked in management and consulting roles in the non-profit sector. She was a Commissioner on the Commission for a Sustainable London 2012, the independent body which provided assurance on sustainability for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and was the National Programs Manager of UK organization Global Action Plan. Sarah holds a PhD and Master of Studies from the Australian National University, and a Masters in Sustainability and Responsibility from Ashridge Business School.
