The ForeFront MND & FTD Clinic strives to provide the best possible care to people with frontotemporal dementia and motor neurodegeneration syndromes and their friends and family.
We provide in-depth assessment, care plans and ongoing support for people diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and motor neurodegenerative syndromes. While we focus on motor neurone disease, we also investigate spinal muscular atrophy, primary lateral sclerosis, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, Kennedy’s disease, Isaac’s syndrome, multifocal motor neuropathy and more.
Our team of experts create an individualised care plan for each patient based on the results of a range of assessments carried out at the clinic. We send this care plan and a clinic summary to the patient’s GP and any health providers involved in their care. Each patient is reviewed every four to six months depending on their needs. We do not perform home visits, however our team are happy to refer you to local allied health providers if needed.

Our clinic is integrated with the ForeFront research program that is dedicated to finding treatments for neurological disorders. Combining research with clinical practice means we can better understand the needs of our patients, their families and carers. We can also turn our research outcomes into healthcare practices and policies that are informed by the needs of those people affected.
