Your orientation to university life
Welcome Week is your chance to find your bearings on campus and meet other students before lectures start to make sure your experience here is the best possible.

Welcome Week takes place from 30 - 31 July 2019, the week before classes begin. You'll be given lots of advice and useful contacts to help you thrive and succeed in your personal and academic endeavours. Welcome Week activities

The Business School runs a peer mentoring and welcome program during Welcome Week for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Please click on the links below to register.

Faculty Welcomes

  • Undergraduate Peer Mentoring and Faculty Welcome, Tuesday 30 July
  • Postgraduate Peer Mentoring and Faculty Welcome, Wednesday 31 July

Peer Mentoring and Welcome Day activities include:

  • Meeting your mentor group through the Business Peer Mentoring Program – made up of first years in your degree and a senior mentor
  • Welcome from the Dean and information about studying in the Business School
  • Information expo with information about our student clubs and societies and opportunities for exchange, internships and career development.  
  • Lunch provided for all participants

During Welcome Week, we recommend you activate the following online resources to help you receive important information and prepare yourself for your first week of study.

Can't attend?

If you aren't able to attend, we will be recording most presentations and information sessions and making them available to students on Canvas. Check your university email in week 1 or email business.welcome@sydney.edu.au for more details.
