5 reasons to attend Info Day

13 September 2017
Last chance to explore your study options before UAC preferences close

On Info Day, the University of Sydney opens its doors to you, your parents, and thousands of prospective students for one of our biggest annual events. Here are 5 reasons why you should come join us.

1. Get a sneak peek into your course

On Info Day explore where your passions can take you and the possibilities ahead by speaking one-on-one with staff and current students for dedicated course advice before taking your next step.

Choose from more than 100 mini lectures on the day to learn more about the subject choices on offer, our unparalleled student experience and the many admission pathways into uni.

2. See your lecture theatres and labs before you begin

One of the first things you’ll learn is that the main Camperdown campus is much bigger than you expect. Sydney Uni is a huge place – it pays to explore and discover the buildings where you will be studying, taking practical classes and see the libraries before your first classes.

You’ll have the chance to explore the University's newest facilities, with tours of the new purpose-built Abercrombie Precinct – home of the Business School - and the refurbished Queen Mary Building student accommodation.

3. Make the virtual tour a reality

Have you seen the University's award-winning virtual tour, Here?  The 360-degree tour takes users on an immersive journey across landmark sites including the iconic Quadrangle, graffiti tunnel and the Charles Perkins Centre.

Info Day is your chance to explore the campus in real life. Take a selfie in the Quad and use our Snapchat filter, or take a photo of the graffiti tunnel (#nofilter needed) to post to Instagram.

You can also plan ahead to create your own tailored schedule by downloading our mobile web app on the University's Info Day website.

4. Find the best coffee and experience student life

In between the tours and mini lectures, take some time to explore the cafes, experience live entertainment from the University of Sydney Union’s clubs & societies on the main stage, and visit our colleges to see all that student life here has to offer.

5. Meet your fellow students and future teachers

Info Day is full of other people like you – new to campus and excited to begin their university journey. Many of the people around you will probably be prospective students too, so take the opportunity to chat about what they plan to study. You’ll have the chance to meet academic and support staff who will give you a hand throughout your studies, and the more supported you feel, the more you’ll hit the ground running.

We look forward to seeing you at Info Day and welcoming you into the University of Sydney community next year.
