Our professional development courses are designed for English language teachers with focus on English for academic purposes and teaching English for speakers of other languages (TESOL).

English for Academic Purposes Teacher Training (EAPTT)

This professional program develops your knowledge and skills in the specialised areas of teaching English for academic purposes. It is suitable for:

  • current English for academic purposes (EAP) teachers
  • general English and test preparation teachers looking to transition into EAP teaching
  • academic managers of EAP courses
  • CELTA (or equivalent) graduates.

  • Open classes where your group will be integrated into one of our existing classes commencing on the dates above. Open classes require a minimum of 8 students to run.
  • Private group classes where your group will have your own private classes. This requires a minimum of 15 students. Private classes occur on an ad hoc basis so start dates are subject to availability.

English Language Teacher Training (ELTT)

This professional development program covers the latest theories and approaches to teaching English for speakers of other languages (TESOL).

  • Key concepts in English language teaching such as innovative teaching methods, flipped classroom strategies, approaches to integrated skills teaching, and lesson planning
  • Reflective teaching practices
  • Current research on best practice in English language teaching
