Summer Research Scholarships

Work with leading academics in our world-class facilities
The Charles Perkins Centre Summer Scholarships program is open to all University of Sydney undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students, from any area of study and with any level of research experience.

Our Summer Research Scholarships provide an exclusive opportunity for students to undertake paid research with leading academics in our world-class facilities. Successful candidates will develop research skills, gain experience and contribute to finding real-world solutions through eight weeks of paid research.

Applicants have the opportunity to design their own research projects that will contribute to the understanding, management or prevention of the individual and societal impacts of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and related conditions.

The program has been running since 2012, fostering opportunities for more than 135 undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students from all disciplines across the University.

For the past six years this program has been made possible thanks to the generosity of the Nicholas Catchlove Early Career Researcher Development Fund.
