Brain and Mind Centre celebrates colleagues
Congratulations to the academics from across the University who successfully applied for academic promotion in 2024. Of the 300 recipients, 16 members of the Brain and Mind Centre and 9 affiliates were announced.
The 2024 wave of applications resulted in 300 promotions being awarded.
- Of the 300 successful promotions, 171 were awarded to women, 124 awarded to men and 5 awarded to trans and gender-diverse staff
- 90 percent of all applicants were successful
- 37 percent of applicants applied via a focused stream
Applications for promotion in 2025 will open on 1 February to those who have lodged a notice of intent to apply.

It’s wonderful to have so many colleagues recognised by the University, and it reflects their work in the field of mental health, neurodegeneration and drug development space. We look forward to seeing their research impact and to continue their progress on a global level.
